Last updated: March 2026

CrowdLink is an offline peer-to-peer application designed to work without internet connectivity, mobile networks, or any external infrastructure. This privacy policy explains how the application handles user data.

Data Collection

CrowdLink does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties. There are no servers, no backend infrastructure, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. The developers have no access to any information about users or their usage of the application.

Data Stored on Device

The following information is stored locally on your device only and never leaves it except as described under Communication below:

All of this data is stored in a local database on your device. Uninstalling the application removes all stored data permanently.

Communication

CrowdLink communicates directly between paired devices using Bluetooth Low Energy. No data is routed through the internet or any external server at any point. Messages and location data are transmitted only to devices that you have explicitly paired with by scanning their QR code. Intermediate devices may forward encrypted payloads as part of the mesh relay system but cannot read the content of those payloads.

Permissions

CrowdLink requests the following device permissions:

Location permission is used solely to enable Bluetooth scanning as required by Android. Your GPS coordinates are only shared with paired friends when location sharing is explicitly enabled in Settings.

Children

CrowdLink is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Policy

Any future changes to this policy will be reflected in an updated version posted with the application listing.
